Because the future of vertical transport is ‘touchless’ (contactless), Otis has incorporated a technology into its latest generation of elevators that allows the elevator to be called from any ‘smartphone’, through the eCall Plus app.
According to Rafael Martínez, “the arrival in the country of the eCall Plus app is imminent, allowing the user to request a lift remotely and avoid long waits. It is a revolutionary technology, especially in the residential segment, which prevents it from coming into contact with surfaces that, day by day, are manipulated by many people ”.
It should be noted that this app will also be very useful to people with disabilities who have difficulties accessing the button panel of an Otis elevator.
How to use this app?

To start calling the elevator of your apartment tower or work site remotely, just access the application store of your smartphone (Google Play, for Android devices or App Store for iPhones) and download the app ‘ eCall by Otis Elevator Co ‘.
Users must then register each of the Otis Gen2 elevators they use regularly in eCall Plus. “Finally, through a QR code that the building administrator can provide, your cell phone will be linked to the elevator. It is a very simple process that anyone can do ”, says the CEO of Otis Colombia.
And, thinking of managers or administrators of co-properties that have an Otis elevator, the company puts the EMS Panorama 2.0 system at their fingertips: a platform where administrators can monitor the status of their Otis Gen2 elevator through their smartphone. , Tablet or computer, know performance data of the equipment, issue alerts about an incident, make service calls or view the cockpit screen, among a wide range of operational functions.
