KAGURABACHI anime has revealed details for Part 2 of its ongoing Anime World Tour, with the first 20 minutes of Episode 1 set to screen at upcoming conventions in Johannesburg and Melbourne.
The next stops will take place at Comic Con Africa in Johannesburg and PAX Aus in Melbourne. Both events will feature the 20-minute Episode 1 preview alongside a special appearance by anime producer Kenta Suzuki.
The Comic Con Africa screening is listed for September 27, 2026 from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. SAST at the Johannesburg Expo Centre’s Anime Cinema. The PAX Aus screening will follow on October 11 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. AEDT at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre’s Quokka Theater.

Part 1 of the Anime World Tour began at Anime Expo in Los Angeles in July before continuing at Japan Expo in Paris, AnimagiC in Mannheim, Otakon in Washington, D.C., and Anime NYC. With the newly announced stops, the campaign will have reached five continents.
Additional details for Anime World Tour Part 3 and the tour’s final event in Japan will be announced this fall.
Kagurabachi, written and illustrated by Takeru Hokazono, is serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. The highly anticipated anime adaptation is set to premiere in April 2027, with Crunchyroll streaming it worldwide (excluding Japan, Mainland China, North Korea, and South Korea).
Studio Cypic is in charge of the animation production, with Tetsuya Takeuchi as the director. Takeuchi is famously known for the Rock Lee vs Gaara fight in Naruto. We previously also had the chance to interview CyberAgent’s Takahiro Yamauchi, who talked about the company and its goal of creating “high-quality Japanese animation works that can be accepted globally.”
